Onua FM/TV morning show host, Blessed Godsbrain Smart well known as Captain Smart has descended on National Security after was granted bail.
Yesterday, a statement from Ghana Police Service claimed that the popular presenter had been arrested.
According to the statement, he was arrested because he made some unsavory pronouncements that hinge on peace and security in the country.
The statement went on to say that the former presenter of Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) has been cautioned on the offence of the offensive conduct conducive to breaches of the peace as provided under section 207 of the Criminal Act, 1960 (Act 29).
Report says he was granted bail hours after his arrest. However, Smart has reacted to his arrest.
Speaking on his show dubbed ‘Onua Maakye’ on Onua FM/TV, he indicated that the National Security made a mistake and arrested him.
He noted that after realizing that they made a mistake, they called the Police to come in.
According to him they brought guns and other weapons to arrest him.
Labeling the National Security as “Ayarefoo” (sick people) Captain Smart told his followers not to blame the Police for his arrest but rather the National Security.
