The Criminal Court 1 of the Accra High Court has canceled Akuapem Poloo’s 90 days jail term according to a report by 3news.com.

The report claims the actress born Rosemond Alade Brown has rather been fined after the court sat on the case today, December 15, 2021.

She is expected to pay GHS 1,000, Ghc500, and other Ghc500 penalty units on the three counts.

The report also adds that these are expected to run concurrently.

A little background

The Court had earlier thrown out an appeal filed by her lawyers after Akuapem Poloo  was sentenced to spend 90 days in jail on her own plea as she pleaded guilty to a charge of the publication of n*de photos involving her son in April this year.

Though she served a period into her term, her lawyers appealed the judgment considering it too harsh.

She was subsequently granted a Ghc80,000 bail, pending the determination of the appeal.

On Wednesday, December 1, the Court found her appeal without merit, and was subsequently ordered to go and continue her 90-day imprisonment.
