Death sentence for kidnappers of Takoradi Girls – Court rules


The Sekondi High Court presided over by Justice Richard Agyei Frimpong has sentenced the two Nigerians in connection with the murder of Takoradi girls to death.

The suspects, Sam Udeotuk Wills and John Orji were charged for kidnapping and murdering Ruth Abakah, 19; Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21; Ruth Love Quayson,18 and Priscilla Koranchie, 15 were caught at Kansawurodo, Butumagyebu, Nkroful Junction all in Sekondi-Takoradi of the Western Region.

After close to three hours of sitting in the courtroom, the two pleaded not guilty to eight counts of conspiracy to commit murder and murder.

After the judge’s pronouncement, there was mixed reaction in the courtroom. Whilst some were satisfied with it, other relatives were still in denial.
