Owner of Despite Media, Dr Osei Kwame Despite and his brother Dr Ernest Ofori Sarpong have joined hands with government to establish a new home based airline.
The airline which has already acquired Air Carrier License (ACL) is expected to be called “Ashanti Airline”.
According to Aviation Ghana, the partners have submitted all the necessary documents for the first phase of the regulatory processes leading to the granting of an Air Operator Certificate(AOC).
The two licenses are reported to be part of the requirements by the aviation sector regulator, the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority(GCAA) to operate as an airline in Ghana.
