Government allegedly directs Metro TV to fire Bridget Otoo a day after joining the station because she’s affiliated with the NDC

It is alleged that the ruling NPP government has directed Metro TV to sack Bridget Otoo a day after joining the station.

According to reports, Bridget was fired because she’s affiliated with the NDC and bashes the NPP when she gets the chance.

The former newscaster on TV3 was unveiled yesterday a member of Metro TV who would host the news from 7pm to 8pm.

Bridget, who was expected to start work today after announcement was made on social media and on TV failed to show up to read the news.

Due to this, many Ghanaians especially the NDC has concluded that she was axed for being outspoken on the NPP government.

According to Perry Arhin who happens to be a member of the communication team for the NDC, President Akufo-Addo directed owners of the station to fire her.

He wrote: Are you wondering why Bridget Otoo didn’t show up on #NewsNight at 7 pm, Akufo Addo/Bawumia/Npp government have instructed the owners of metro tv to sack her with immediate effect because she bashes them and is a supporter of John Mahama.
