I have no hand in Kofi B’s death – Ofori Amponsah finally speaks

Highlife musician, Ofori  Amponsah has spoken years after he was accused of killing Kofi B.

It can be recalled that when Kofi B real name Kofi Boakye Yiadom died, fingers were pointed at Ofori Amponsah that he cursed the highlife musician.

This comes after they had a misunderstanding over a song he wrote for Kofi B.

But, Ofori Amponsah says he’s not responsible for Kofi B’s death.

Speaking in an interview with Agyemang Prempeh on TV XYZ he said his former best friend died due to heart conditions.

Kofi B had heart problems way back. He had an issue with blood pressure. It was by the grace of God that he lived up to the age he finally died. People are just not telling the truth; this is the story, we all knew that my brother was suffering from this”.

Ofori Amponsah answered firmly, “Never,” when asked if he had actually slain his brother Kofi B.

He added that he had also overheard someone making a similar claim in an interview but had refrained from responding.

“If there is anyone I have helped in the industry, then it must be Kofi B”.

He admitted that he moved Kofi into the residence that Daddy Lumba had given him, and that he assisted Kofi in the recording of his debut album when Ofori Amponsah had not.

“When I had not released an album, I was looking for sponsorship for Kofi B. People even laughed at me when they hear this. All the hit songs of Kofi B are mine. Counting from “Yaw Dompre”, “Mobro Wa”, Koforidua Flowers” among others.” Ofori Amponsah told TV XYZ in an interview.
