Ghanaian Afrobeat musician, Kelvynboy has explained why he left the VGMA auditorium after he couldn’t grab an award he set his eyes on.
Some weeks ago, the rising musician was captured storming out of the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) venue after Dope Nation won the Afrobeats song of the Year over him.
A lot of people thought he did that out of anger, but to him, that was not the situation.
Reacting to this in an interview with KMJ on Joy Prime’s ‘Showbiz Now’ program, the ‘Mea’ singer stated that he planned to go somewhere else, so it was coincidental.
He explained that he would have left the venue even if he had won because it was time for him to leave.
Kelvynboy added that he has learnt to appreciate himself, so he has no problem if others fail to appreciate him.
