Radio and TV personality, Kpekpo Maxwell Justice popularly known as KMJ has shared a touching story about his journey in radio.
Speaking in an interview with Afia Amankwa Tamakloe on ‘Mahyesee’ (My Beginning) show which is aired on Adom TV, he said he started as a footballer.
According to him, his late father wanted him to be a footballer so the decision to be a media personality became difficult for his father to accept.
The host of Showbiz Now on Joy Prime indicated that he came to Accra to understudy DJ Willie who was then with Top FM and later went to Koforidua to start his first show at a radio station.
KMJ went on to say that after years of handling the drive time at the station in Koforidua even without getting paid, he came back to Accra to be entertainment show panelist after his former boss at the station in Koforidua died.
His star started to shine after he sat in for Sammy Flex as host on Flex on Pluzz on Pluzz FM.
KMJ claimed while hosting the show, Socrate Safo came to the studio to see him and later promised to help him and that’s how he got the chance to work at Hitz FM.
He thanked Socrate and Mark Okraku Mantey for bringing him this far.
