Popular comic actor, Kwadwo Nkansah also known as Lil Win has disclosed the amount of money spent producing his yet to be aired TV series titled ‘Cocoa Season’.
In an interview with Nkonkonsah.com, Lil Win revealed that he’s spent over GHS 300,000 on the TV series so far.
He explained that there is no sponsor on the production of the TV series and for that matter, every penny spent on it comes from his own pocket.
According to him, even the hotels booked for the actors in the series cost about GHS 30,000.
Lil Win indicated that he has featured over 70 celebrities in the much anticipated TV series.
He is confident that the upcoming series will revive the collapsed movie industry.
The highly anticipated series features some top actors namely Kofi Adjorlolo, Vivian Jill, Mr. Beautiful, Kalybos, Maame Serwaa, and Agya Koo.
It also has appearances from musicians Stonebwoy, Sista Afia, Yaa Pono, Fameye, Strongman, E.L, Eno, Medikal, Deborah Vanessa, Freda Rhymes, Obibini, among others.
Lil Win’s motivation for creating the ‘Cocoa Season’ TV series was that foreign movies including telenovelas have dominated the media space.
He asserted that the upcoming series would be the biggest sitcom to hit the screens considering the thrills and chills that come along with it.
He said the series will be aired on UTV.
