Officials of the Ghana Police Service in Obomeng, a suburb in Kwahu in the Eastern Region have reportedly arrested lesbian couple who nearly got married in the area.

According Starr news, the Police teamed up with traditional authorities and made several arrests after they got the hint and stormed the venue of the supposed wedding.

Reports say about 22 people who attended the wedding were arrested with about 8 people managing to escape.

We cannot tell how they managed to get the wedding done when our culture and law frowns upon same sex marriage in Ghana.

Chief of Obomeng, Nana Effah Opinamang III, told Kasapa Fm Monday that they heard rumours of the wedding and thus informed the police who mobilied a team to storm the venue.
