A documentary by BBC has detailed why many Ghanaians cannot afford to buy or build their own house.
With the increment of building materials and the bad economy in the country, a Ghanaian lady has shared her frustration.
Speaking in an interview with Kasujja of BBC, the lady identified as Saadatu who is a nurse by profession revealed that she fears she’ll never afford a home of her own.
According to her, her parents couldn’t build a house and after they took her to school, she fears she cannot get some for them to live in as well.
She indicated that she sometimes feel disappointed and depressed about the issue.
Saadatu pleaded with the Minister of Housing to make those houses affordable as the name states.
She added that there is a slogan by the Ministry campaigning about affordable housing project but the houses are not affordable.
